Sometimes, a short hiatus from daily creative pursuits is just what the doctor ordered. Here are some reasons why:
1. You need some time to examine what you've been doing and make adjustments if needed.
2. You flat out need a rest! You need to recharge your engine!
3.Maybe you need to get some other important things accomplished?
4. You just don't feel like producing art at the moment. AND THAT IS OKAY!!
There is such a thing as work getting stale. There is also a thing called repetition. And let us not forget that bogeyman by the name of sloppiness! All these things can easily happen if you do the same thing day after day without thinking.
Take a vacation from your paint, your pastels, your clay, your carving tools or your camera. Stop and ask your spirit guide for new ideas. Refresh that inner creator, and you will be surprised at what appears the next time you begin to make art!
