I need an administrative assistant--no--I need a wife. That's it! I'll hire somebody to do all the laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, dog washing, gardening, grocery shopping and bed making. Oh, if only.
Balancing your art making with being a homemaker, wife, mother, etc. can be ridiculously taxing on one's creativity. Just take today. Today I downloaded a new widget that captures pictures from anywhere to be used just about anywhere. It's called Jing from Techsmith, and it's free. Find it at http://www.jing.com
So I had to play around with that for a while. That's how I added the room scenes to my gallery. I'm up to five so far. It's fun. Takes a lot of juggling images around and saving them in different formats, though. Time consuming!
You all know I'm heavy into Pinterest -- well today I realized I had failed to add my website link to most of my pins. Yikes! So that took about an hour to remedy.
I tell you these things, dear friends, so you can put them to use yourself if you like. Maybe it will--uh--save you some time?
I spent, in all, at least four hours on the computer today. Took an hour to photograph some art. Painted for about an hour total. That's 6 hours. Shopping, mowing some grass, eating, and housework took up the rest. See my point???
I NEED TO SPEND MORE TIME PAINTING IN ORDER TO HAVE ENOUGH INVENTORY TO LAST THE SEASON. Are you, dear reader, spending enough time in front of your easel? Let's make a pact, here and now. Let's pledge to spend at least 2 hours per day
(well, okay, WEEKDAY) painting. Deal? Good.
