As most of you know, I've been getting ready to start teaching again in my new studio which is on the second floor of my home in Durham, Maine. To that end, we've been working hard and non-stop on getting the new living/dining area done downstairs. This week, (hallelujah!) we'll be finishing up the flooring downstairs, which means I'll finally be able to empty out the studio space and make it look and function like a real teaching art studio. As my first clients arrive the second weekend of April, this comes none too soon! I have added a new 3 day workshop which includes one day of touring and photographing the coast, followed by two days of painting from the photos. I think it's going to be a popular choice.
On another note, I'm excited that I've booked accommodations for the Bar Harbor Art in the Park show, coming June 17-19. Last year was such a successful show for me that I've asked for the same site this year. Plus, I've already painted a large Bass Harbor Light and am considering doing another, smaller one with a different feel to it. People just can't get enough of that place! My husband and I sort of feel like BH is a second home, we've been there so much, and we never get tired of it. I hope some of you who live in Maine can make it to the show this year. Be sure to introduce yourselves if you do!
Thought I'd follow up with just a few oldies but goodies-some pieces I've sold over the years that you may not have seen. I was thinking the other day about all the sales I've made without taking images first. I can reel off at least 8 or 10. How I regret that!
