The studio is cleaned thoroughly, the easel is empty. After finishing the bobcat kitten, I felt a need for a bit of a respite. Easter Sunday seemed the perfect excuse. Now I'm feeling antsy again. What to paint? I've considered Canada Geese, Barn Owl, Fox, and another farm study. Oh, and Swans. Gotta love those swans. A temporary rest from intricate detail might be nice...so forget the barn owl, which has absolutely gorgeous, feather detailing on its back. Fox? Too much of that damned fur for right now. Canada Geese are sounding better and better. They are elegant, I'm seeing them in a pond on this road daily, and let's face it, they are calling out to me. I've got just the right size support--a 14x18 primed and ready. Maybe I'll make some preliminary sketches tonight. Hope your Easter was wonderful, friends.
